The phone rings — E answers, X ignores. Pick up at the amber beam, deliver to the cyan beam. The car gets you close; the last steps are on foot: a contact at a newsstand, a counter inside a building, or a phone booth. FRAGILE hates crashes, HOT must not be seen by patrols, HEAVY means no running. Fast = tip.
The road
Stop on red. Keep to the right lane. 50 km/h max — the sign bottom-right blinks when you're over. Headlights on after dark (L). Some intersections have red-light cameras: instant fine.
WANTED
Every slip fills the bar: red light, speeding, wrong lane, sidewalk, crashing, hitting people, stealing cars. Seen by a patrol, a cop or a bystander = full amount, unseen = half. Full bar = sirens: police cars chase you; on foot, cops run after you. Caught = BUSTED: package gone, fine, two hours in a cell. Heat pays: deliver with the bar up and the job pays up to 2×. Lose a full chase and you get a getaway bonus.
Getting away
Break line of sight for ~10 seconds — over the curve, into an alley, lights off at night. Or reach one of the three G garages on the map without being seen: new paint, clean slate ($150 in a chase, $60 otherwise). Doors stay shut during a chase.
Cars
Your car is the green car icon on the map. Need another? Hold E by a parked car to break in (alarms happen). Stand in front of a car until it stops, then E to pull the driver out. Stolen cars get reported — patrols that see one fill your bar. A garage gives it new plates.
The city
REDLINE runs solo — the city lives without you. Cars follow the lights, pedestrians walk their own routes, and patrols remember your plate. Sleep at the Royale Hotel (H) to save and clear the bar. Break line of sight for ~10 seconds and the sirens lose you — or reach one of the three G garages unseen for new plates. Want the shared city? A multiplayer server is optional: see js/config.js.
